Call the library at 708-946-9090 for programs that require registration. The library will close at 4 p.m. on July 3 and 5, for the Beecher Fourth of July Festival and will be closed on July 4.

Sign-up for our summer reading program! Patrons of all ages can win prizes for reading during the summer!

Outdoor Used Book Sale: A number of used books are for sale on the front veranda at $1 each, including children’s, junior, teen, and adult books. The sale will not be available on rainy/wet days.

Enjoy fun drop-in activities at the library. Find objects in a children’s pool I-Spy, which is filled with summer objects, check out the caterpillars who will change into butterflies, or answer fun weekly questions to possibly win a Buddys gift certificate.

Youth Services

A new take-and-make craft will be available on July 1. Pick-up anytime!

June 27, at 10 a.m., Super Reader Story Time: Story time will be held indoors, and a reading specialist will visit to offer tips on raising life-long readers!

Adult Services

June 27 and July 2, from 2-5 p.m., One-on-One Technology Help:  Sit down for a half hour and receive technology help with any devices, including phones, tablets, and laptops. Receive help with apps, email, Facebook and social media, computer basics, or get any other technology questions answered. Call to register.

The Afternoon Book Club selection is available for pick-up. The group will discuss “The Great Alone,” by Kristin Hannah, on Friday, July 12, at 1 p.m.

The Evening Book Discussion selection also is available. The group will discuss “The Book of Charlie,” by David Von Drehle, on Monday, July 22, at 7 p.m.
