Graduations

The University of Alabama, in Tuscaloosa, recently announced those awarded degrees at the conclusion of the spring term, including: From Manhattan – Kalie Korpitz, Master of Business Administration; and Ellie DeGroot – Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, William Nash – Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, and Josephine Schmitt of Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration, all from New Lenox.

This past spring, the following local students graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee: From Crete – Keagan Morgan, Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering; and from New Lenox – Taylor James, Bachelor of Science, Nursing.

Mackenzie Ullian, of New Lenox, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree, from Mount Mercy University, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in May.

John Laschober, of New Lenox, has earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.

Emily Phillip, of Monee, and Benjamin Dorn and Christopher Zavala, of New Lenox, recently graduated from Monmouth College, which held its 167th Commencement Exercises on May 19. Actress Sigourney Weaver and her husband, writer/director Jim Simpson, gave the Commencement address.

Dean’s List/President’s List

Madelyn Boley, of Beecher, Emily Phillip, of Monee, and Christopher Zavala, of New Lenox, were named to the spring semester Dean’s List at Monmouth College.

The University of Alabama recently recognized students named to its President’s List for the spring term, including: From Manhattan – Nolan Adam, Caitlyn Burgess, Isabella Gentle, Cole Munn, and Myles Nelson; and Caslyn Battin, Ava Dolezal, Christa Kolavo, William Nash, and Kealey Wujcik, all of New Lenox.

UA also named students honored on the Dean’s List, including: From Manhattan – Colin Kinsella and Jack Olejniczak; plus Emily Costello, Katherine Nash, Anthony Sherman, and Breck Woltman, all from New Lenox.

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire extends congratulations to the students named to the spring Dean’s List, including Molly Marquardt, of Manhattan.

More than 1,700 students were named to Bradley University’s spring Dean’s List, including: From Beecher – Meagan Ruger and Katelyn Kain; Grant Park – Paige Sherwood and Riley Ford; Manhattan – Rudy Wolfer; Monee – Kennedy Jones, Mark Kaziunas, and Christopher Cannon; New Lenox – Maxwell Labus, Christine Boisvert, Benjamin Eilers, Evan Pagliaro, Gabriela Reyes, Makayla Lamb, Ryan Hearne, Jadyn Lamb, Jacob Chorak, Annabel Lomeli, James Dugandzic, Kathrynne Skonicki, Logan Huber, Samuel Cross, and Angelina Bass; and Steger – Caleb Feilen.

The University of Iowa recently announced students named on the spring semester President’s List, including: Audrey Balester, Jaiden Lawless, and Megan Mindy, all of New Lenox.

The University of Iowa also announced students named to its spring semester Dean’s List, including: Dominick Esquivel, of Monee; and Mia Fares, Meghan Harrington, Connor Hogan, Morgan Hujda, Madison Plesek, Angelina Rafalski, Emma Rimkunas, Isaac Simpkins, Emma Soof, Samantha Triner, and Samantha Young, all of New Lenox; and Madeline Tures, of Peotone.

Jack Urbanciz, from Manhattan, recently was named to the spring semester Dean’s List at Quincy University.

Reese Farris, of New Lenox, was named to the Abilene Christian University spring Dean’s Honor Roll. Farris is a junior majoring in Child and Family Services.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute announced Devin Mihaichuk, of New Lenox, was named to the spring semester Dean’s List.
