The Illinois Rural Health Association (IRHA) will host its 35th annual Educational Conference July 31 – August 1, at the I-Hotel in Champaign. The conference is an opportunity for rural healthcare administrators and clinicians to advance their professional skills, while networking and learning best practices from their counterparts throughout the state. Online registration and a full conference brochure can be found at www.ilruralhealth.org.

Attendees will have more than 17 educational workshops and panel discussions to choose from during the two-day conference, all geared towards rural practice, including: Tackling Lyme Disease, Healthcare Security and Workplace Violence Prevention, Rural Mental Health Wellness, Increasing Access to Oral Medicine, and much more. The keynote speaker will be Brock Slabach, COO of the National Rural Health Association, who will provide his Federal Rural Health Update.

There also will be an evening networking dinner reception on Wednesday, July 31, at Ferren’s in Champaign, for all attendees to get to know each other better.

Limited exhibit space still is available starting at $1,250, which also includes two conference registrations. Conference registration is $225 for current IRHA members and $275 for non-members (which includes a 12-month membership). The deadline is Friday July 19.
