Want to use the digital collection and don’t have a library card? Residents may get a digital card through the library website on the Resources page. Check out online resources, plus the Museum Adventure Passes; visit museumadventure.org for more information.

Don’t forget to get a Peotone Chamber of Commerce Business Bingo Card and be sure to stop by the library for a sticker and gift, from August 2 – 13.

Also, the library will be closed for a staff inservice training/workshop on Friday, August 12

Youth Services

August 4: Makerspace, from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m., for children. Create, construct, and experiment with Ms. Sarah. Please register.

August 6: Sensory Free Play, from 10:30 to 11 a.m., ages two – five. Sensory toys and games available for free and open play in the conference room.

August 8: Family Movie Night, Monday, at 4:30 p.m.

August 9: Bookworm Buddies StoryTime, Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m., for ages three-to-five years.

August 10: Little Learners StoryTime, Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m., for ages zero-to-three years.

August 11: Young Adult Book Talk, Thursday, at 5 p.m.

August 12: Family Storytime in Monee, at 10:30 a.m., at Monee Heritage Center (Court Street by Firemen’s Park), Friday; Please register.

Adult Services

August 1 – 6: Adult Take and Make Craft – Dream Catcher Key Chain, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., while supplies last.

August 2: Tuesday Book Discussion, adults, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.

August 4: Clue: A Mystery Book Club, Thursday, at the library, from 11 a.m. to noon.

August 6: End of Geocaching Competition.

August 8: Book Bingo, Monday, at 11 a.m.

August 9: Divorce Information Webinar, Tuesday, at 6 p.m.

August 10: Computer Basics One-on-One, Wednesday, from 11-11:30 a.m. A staff member will devote 30-minute time slots to help with computer needs including computer basics, setting up an email account and sending attachments, creating resumes, learning how to use the Internet or a word document – you decide. Call to reserve a time slot.

August 4: Mystery Book Club, from 11 a.m. to noon, A Killing in the Hills, by Julia Kelley, adults; Meet at Peotone Library this month.
