Residents may register for events on the website calendar or give the library a call at 708-258-3436. Keep checking the FB page, Instagram, and online calendar for more programs and updates.

Once again, Friends of the Library will have a raffle for a gift basket with the drawing on Saturday, December 10. Their next meeting will be Tuesday, January 10, at 11 a.m., at Cornerstone Coffee.

Youth Services

December 8: Young Adult Book Talk, online, Thursday, at 5 p.m.;

December 10: Christmas in the Village, Saturday, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., StoryWalk and more!

December 12: Family Holiday Movie, Monday, at 4:30 p.m. Please register.

December 14: Storytime, Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m., for ages zero to five years. (Combined Bookworm Buddies/Little Learners)

December 15: Middle School Book Talk, online, Thursday, at 5 p.m.

Adult Services

Through December 10: Adult take-and-make craft, featuring a wooden gnome ornament kit; Available at front desk, while supplies last, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

December 12: DIY Ceramic Holiday Gnome Craft at 11 a.m. (in person or to go); Must register.

December 13: “Illinois Libraries Present,” Tuesday, at 7 p.m. Virtual program – register to receive the program link. A Conversation with Author Shauna Sever – “Midwest Made: Big, bold baking from the heartland.”

December 14: Computer Basics One-on-One, Wednesday, from 11-11:30 a.m. A staff member will devote 30-minute time slots to help with computer needs, including computer basics, setting up an email account and sending attachments, creating resumes, learning how to use the Internet or a word document – you decide. Call to reserve a time slot.
